  1. Love to read these posts!

  2. I read the unfinished bed story a few minutes ago as I was preparing to close the day. Ivan closes my days often with his inspirational writings. I thank the Lord for that. I know there are many many whose burdens are made lighter because of Ivan Raley. I know there is not enough appreciation shown. But that is not what keeps Ivan ticking anyway. Oh sure he would love the accolades, but when you live in Byrdstown, TN, you have to search for the applause and it comes not so often. The Lord knows the heart of Ivan Raley, its kindness, its eternal searching for just the right niche in this life, its compassion, its reaching and touching and yearning for the day when the Lord will say, “Sonny,, Come to my house for dinner. I’ve been waiting for you a long time. There’s a guy up here who claims he knows you and wonders what you did with that shoe last he refinished. Come on, Sonny; Me and Pop need a fishing buddy..”

    • Thanks Bud, very nice..
